Not all children’s events have to occur on a special occasion like a birthday. Sometimes it is fun to plan a child’s party “just because.” When we host playdates at our home – we like to plan something outside of the box.
At the playdate featured below – we set up a real life Donut Shoppe with delicious pastries and a vintage cash register! The kids – as well as the grownups – had a blast eating the yummy treats. The children practiced their leadership and management skills; learned to work as a team; and had to do some math as well.
This event hit all of the marks – fun, whimsical and an educational component. I hope you will try this concept out at your next playdate!
